Mai-Han joined Lincoln in 1995 when the organization in the Pacific Northwest was Lincoln Cascades, Inc., and lead by Daniel E. Fenker, CLU, ChFC, for 18 years. Her focus on Marketing began in 2001, specializing in Personal Introductions and the incorporation of key branding tools aligned with LFA/Sagemark’s Fee-Based Cycle of Operations. Based in Portland, OR, she works with financial planners across the country to help them implement and enhance the Personal Introductions Process into their practice.
Personal Introductions Mindset—The foundation of a well-structured personal introductions process starts with the planner’s attitudes and desire to build relationships based on providing extraordinary service and trust. Mai-Han works with planners to nurture and strengthen this mindset, incorporating positioning tools and processes that best fit their practice.
Positioning Tools—She identifies, creates and conducts research, resulting in verbal and written tools tailored to the planner’s personal brand. She helps enhance their ability to obtain a quantity of quality prospective clients by connecting them with resources. These resources range from traditional capability pieces to online marketing strategies within Compliance guidelines.
Processes—Mai-Han believes that all problems can be fixed by implementing a well-thought-out process. She first seeks to understand then helps planners evaluate and take actions towards improving their marketing process.
For 20 years and counting, Mai-Han’s contributions and outreach span nationally – to include BrokerLincSM, AdviceNext® Field Awareness Network, Reference Manual Revision Committee, The Resource Group Marketing Committee – performing as leader and proactive contributor of Lincoln’s innovative initiatives. She enjoys the opportunities to interact one-on-one with financial planners, field staff and home office specialists when she is asked to speak at Lincoln’s Fall Focus, Premier Partners Staff Symposium, Masters Series, Sagemark Private Wealth Services, CFB Staff Study Group. Mai-Han is thrilled to have been nominated by her peers for Lincoln Financial Network’s Kudos Program* for going Above and Beyond, and selected by senior leadership to receive the Q4 2012 Bravo Award as well as the highest honor awarded—the sole recipient of the Kudos Encore Award for 2012.
Mai-Han is also active in the local financial services community, and is a member of NAIFA, FPA, and WIFS. She served as President of FPA Oregon & SW Washington in 2008, and President of NAIFA-Portland/NW Oregon in 2014-2015. She curretly serves on NAIFA-Oregon's State Board as Vice President. Mai-Han was one of the creators and lead organizer of the “Financial Block Party,” a first ever joint partnership event for NAIFA, FPA and WIFS that connected over 100 people on a nice summer evening in 2015. Plans for the second annual Financial Block Party is well underway and the event is scheduled to take place on August 11, 2016, a Mercy Corps Northwest.
